TABLE TENNIS & BADMINTON
Wednesdays, 2 - 4 pm in the Main Hall of Cockermouth Leisure Centre, Castlegate Drive.

From Apr 30th 2025, we have had one court for PICKLEBALL, as well as one court for Badminton, & the 3rd court for TT. 
From Nov 2025, we have had only one TT table deemed fit for use. We hope for a second table now that the Centre management has changed from BETTER to EVERYONE ACTIVE with effect from April 1st 2026. Time will tell.
This layout is to make maximum use of the hall, as often there are few attendees solely for badminton - the format can be changed if more badminton players attend.
Pickleball equipment will be provided. 
The Leisure Centre roof can still leak in adverse weather. If this limits our session, group members will be notified by email on the morning.

The group is full, but occasionally some known absences allow potential newcomers to have a go.

For TT/Badminton:
Bring your own bat and racket, indoor shoes, and drink/refreshments as you wish. 
There will be a few u3a spare bats and rackets if you want to have a try, provided there are spaces available. 

Remember to enter your car reg on the iPad at Reception, then proceed to the Main Hall and pay your attendance fee of £2 to the Group Leader, usually Jenny.
The dry-activities changing rooms, lockers and toilets are open, but if you prefer, shoes can be changed in the Main Hall and belongings stored round the perimeter.
