Pickleball is a racquet sport played on a Badminton Court and is enjoyed by all ages and skill levels.
The game has elements of Tennis, Badminton and Table-Tennis.
Pickleballs themselves are a hollow, perforated ball that reduces speed and produces a low bounce.
Pickleball is easy for beginners to learn, but it can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game.
If that doesn’t help fire your enthusiasm, there are many clips on the internet to show you how easy and fun it is.
Clearly, experience of any racquet sport will help, but it's not a requirement, you can, just like us, learn as you play.
Although Pickleball can be played as singles, we play doubles so that everyone gets a chance to play as often as possible.
We play on Monday afternoon's between 13:30-15:30 at Moor Close Community Centre, Workington, CA14 3SE.
PLEASE NOTE: Members are responsible for assessing their own physical fitness in order to play safely.
If you are interested in joining our group or just want to try it out, please contact Chris Lane/Graham Ireland.
