Thursday walkers is a moderate walking group. We meet every Thursday at Aldi Cockermouth at 8.45 am to car share and leave at 9am. Walking between 5 to 8 miles.

We do both high and low-level walks. There are times we need to change a walk because of the weather. Members are asked to take turns in organising walks and doing a recce. It is best to do this in pairs. Most walks are circular with some returning the same way and we sometimes use buses or trains to get to the start of a walk.

You will need a rucksack, walking boots, waterproof clothing, gloves and hat. you should bring a pack lunch, drinks and snacks. Usually, we go for refreshments after a walk.
