FilmClub@kirkgate is a group for members to view the films at the Kirkgate Theatre in Cockermouth. There is a special u3a deal of £5.50 for a ticket (normally £6.50), for the Kirkgate’s Wednesday matinee, which starts rolling sharp at 2pm.

refreshments and socialising in the downstairs egremont room from around 1pm, with ice cream or a drink from bar and new coffee machine available too!.

The u3a rate is available online, via the booking office, on the day, or with group leader assistance. These showings currently have  subtitles when available. The kirkgate theatre is accessible with a front entrance ramp, lift to first floor theatre and flat access to some seating.The Allerdale car park adjacent to the theatre, has period free parking during the day. We Would like to emphasise the social aspect of going along with friends or to meet other u3a members before the film.
